Direct Support Staff
(Whittier, Pico Rivera, Los Angeles areas)
Direct Support Staff is responsible for providing 1:1 direct instruction to individuals diagnosed with developmental disabilities in one of several programs designed to increase independence and empowerment. The role of support staff is to promote the health, safety, and well-being of individuals with devel¬opmental disabilities, which will lead to a better quality of life. Direct support staff will assist individuals to make proper choices in their lives while supporting and encouraging those choices. Direct support staff will use their abilities to find creative ways to instruct the consumers they serve.

Minimun Qualifications
Applicants for Direct Support Staff should have a minimum 6 months experience working with developmentally disabled individuals in the capacity of support staff or caregiver. In lieu of experience, applicants with college experience will be considered. Applicants who are bilingual (English/Spanish) are encouraged to apply.
